Appropriations for Key Regional Programs

After the markup and release of appropriations bills from the House and Senate Appropriations Committees, the Northeast-Midwest Institute prepares fact sheets highlighting their impacts on key regional programs. Listed below are the fact sheets from the 2024 and 2025 fiscal years.

Also below are tables displaying numbers from different stages in the FY 2025 process, compared with historical funding levels for key regional programs. These numbers will be updated as FY 2025 bills pass their respective chambers.

So far, the House Appropriations Committee has passed all 12 FY 25 Appropriations bills, five of which have passed the House, including State and Foreign Operations and Homeland Security. The Senate has not yet advanced FY 25 Appropriations legislation.
