Congress has passed appropriations for FY 2024. Funding levels for key Great Lakes programs largely remained roughly equal to FY 2023 levels. The bill includes $368 million for the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, $257 million for the Soo Locks, $3 million for the Great Lakes Coastal Resiliency Study, and $5 million for the Great Lakes Authority, among many other beneficial Great Lakes provisions.
