Appropriations for Key Regional Programs

After the markup and release of appropriations bills from the House and Senate Appropriations Committees, the Northeast-Midwest Institute prepares fact sheets highlighting their impacts on key regional programs. Listed below are the fact sheets from the 2024 and 2026 fiscal years.

Also below are tables displaying numbers from different stages in the FY 2026 process, compared with historical funding levels for key regional programs. These numbers will be updated as FY 2026 bills pass their respective chambers.

So far, the House Appropriations Committee has passed all 10 of 12 FY 2026 Appropriations bills, three of which have passed the House, including Energy and Water Development. The Senate Appropriations has passed eight bills, three of which have passed the Senate.
