Mayors tap arts councils along the Mississippi River to build a Mississippi River photography exhibit on Capitol Hill, March 21
In order to bring the Mississippi River to Washington, DC, the mayors of MRCTI have partnered with 17 arts organizations along the waterway to generate over 50 photographs of the River that will be displayed on Capitol Hill March 21. This exhibit is part of the Mayors’ Capitol Meeting in Washington to gain Congressional attention for the Mississippi River.
Each arts organization was invited to submit up to 3 photos along the following themes: natural beauty of the River, life on the River, challenges of the River.
The photographs will be displayed on-top of a super-enlarged map of the Mississippi River that will cover the floor 15 feet wide by 50 feet long.
