NEMWI Note to Coalitions on Important Programs in the NE-MW Region |

The Northeast-Midwest Institute produced a data rich “Note to the Coalitions” describing selected federal programs with a major role in the Northeast-Midwest region, and providing funding history by state. As Congress makes difficult decisions on how to promote economic growth and stability while reducing the nation’s deficit, it is considering several pieces of legislation with funding allocations for federal programs for the rest of Fiscal Year 2011 and the recently released Administration Budget for Fiscal Year 2012. With this Note to the Coalitions, the Northeast-Midwest Institute provides vital background on which Coalition-members can base decisions. Data are derived from the Combined Federal Funds Report (CFFR) produced by the U.S. Census Bureau over several years.
