Site Manager - Great Ships Initiatve Prior to joining Northeast-Midwest Institute, he worked an expansion project at a plant that extracted a compound from Tamarack trees for a world-wide chemical company. Mr. Mangan worked for several years in various environmental fields at a research institute in Wisconsin. The work involved sampling and taxonomy from plants to aquatic organisms. During that time, Mr. Mangan also was also involved as an Engineer and Marine Technician aboard research vessels, was involved in Health and Safety and was introduced to ballast water testing. Travis Mangan received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Wisconsin. Travis is a native of the Duluth, Minnesota area and has been in and around Lake Superior all his life. He is an avid outdoorsman and Mr. Fix-it. He enjoys spending time with his large extended family in the area. |
