Fritz Ohrenschall is a research associate with the Northeast-Midwest Institute focusing on transportation policy.  His primary focus is on rail transit and its ability to provide mobility while revitalizing urban cores.  He most recently returned from teaching at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Bordeaux, France where he covered the American system teaching classes on law, environmental issues in American land use and a comparison of the French and American transportation systems.

Fritz received his Bachelor of Arts in international relations and Master of Arts from the global governance program, both at the University of Delaware.
