Leah KonradyLeah Konrady is Director of the Great Lakes Washington Program, which provides objective, timely, and well-researched information to the bipartisan Senate and House Great Lakes Task Forces.  She previously served as a Legislative Assistant for Congressman Peter Visclosky (D-IN), where she focused on environmental and transportation policy, and served as his point of contact for Interior and Environment Appropriations and Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development Appropriations.

Ms. Konrady received a B.A. from the University of Denver with an emphasis in geography, environmental and international studies.  During her undergraduate experience she participated in field studies in Central America and Europe.  Ms. Konrady was also a recipient of the Dr. Thomas Griffith’s award for outstanding undergraduate research at the University of Denver’s Department of Geography.

Ms. Konrady’s hometown is Duneland Beach, Indiana, located at the Indiana and Michigan border on Lake Michigan.  Outside of the beltway, she enjoys spending time on the shores of Lake Michigan and skiing in the Rocky Mountains.
