The GSI uses standard protocols and operating procedures relative to biological and operational/technical evaluations of treatment technologies to the greatest extent possible at each test scale (bench, land-based and shipboard). This consistency will maximize comparability and regulatory relevancy of the experimental results.

The standard operating procedures (SOPs), detailed below, will be subject to additional revision as needed over time to assure they maintain maximum effectiveness and consistency with any standard methods that may be generated by official sources.
